Uhomes CRM (SaaS) Platform Redesign
Brief

During this internship, I worked as a User Experience Designer and Interaction Designer at Uhomes, taking on the task of redesigning its CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform. My primary responsibilities were to ensure the platform was more efficient, clean, and intuitive. At the end of summer, I have redesigned 60+ MVP pages.

Due to NDA constraints, I can't share specific details about the platform and the features I worked on. However, I can showcase my general workflows and how I approached my tasks.

My Tasks
1.0 Initial Research and Requirements Analysis
I first gathered requirements based on feedback from my supervisor and colleagues who use the platform, and identify the global elements that needed optimization, such as platform’s sidebar and top bar.
Additionally, considering the platform had 100+ pages with various functionalities, I conducted thorough market research.
I analyzed the structure, skeleton, and surface levels of several common-used CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and PMS (Property Management System) platforms to determine the optimization direction for our product.
2.0 Key Pages Redesign
When redesigning key pages, I took the following steps:
Feedback Integration: Collected and analyzed feedback from colleagues using the platform and combined it with insights from the product departments to ensure the design solutions met user needs and the company's overall business needs.
Feature Enhancements: Refined the old features’ interactions and added various new micro features based on feedback to enhance the usability and user experience of the pages.
2.1 Listing Pages Redesign
For the listing page redesign, which constituted a significant portion of the platform, I carried out the following tasks:
Enhanced Readability: Designed new list styles to improve information readability, enabling users to quickly find the content they needed.
Consistent Visual Style: Redesigned the overall page layout to ensure visual consistency with other company products, creating a more lightweight and cohesive aesthetic.
Optimized Filtering: Developed various top filter display methods to streamline the filtering experience and make operations more convenient.
Intuitive Interactions: Redesigned button displays and interactions to be more intuitive and user-friendly, improving operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
Detail Page Optimization: Redesigned the information detail pages accessed from key listing pages, optimizing information display and hierarchy, and adjusting button layouts based on usage frequency and importance.
3.0 Responsive Design
Since users needed to use the platform on different devices, I collaborated with development colleagues to restructure the platform with responsive design using the Element Design System.
